Artist Workshop Program

Share your practice at Earthenware

Earthenware Studios is looking for ceramic artists and makers to lead workshops in our Gresham community studio.

All of our members have taken classes and built their skill set. At a certain point, students are ready to move beyond the classroom and into the workshop model. The best workshops happen when a working artist shares that thing that they do well — a technique or a way of seeing. Whether you’re a hand-builder, a thrower, a mad scientist, or something entirely your own, we want to hear from you. We’ll provide the space, the equipment, and the leg-work. You bring the rest.

Benefits

You set the price Let us know the value of your time. We collect registrations and pay you 60% of gross — calculated at the full, undiscounted rate for every seat.

Full studio access Use our studio and resources — wheels, slab roller, extruder, Cone 6 glazes, bisque and glaze kilns — at no additional cost to you.

A ready audience Our members receive early registration access and workshop discounts — meaning your workshop is promoted to an engaged, committed group before it’s open to the public.

Focus on teaching We manage registration, payment collection, studio prep, and post-workshop cleanup. You show up, teach, and leave with a check.

How it works

Reach out — Tell us what you’d like to teach.

We schedule — We open registration.

You teach — Meet the group.

Get paid — Within about a week.

Share your expertise while we handle things behind the scenes

Reach out and tell us what you’d like to teach. Together we’ll land on a timeline and a budget that works for both of us. Once the workshop is confirmed, we’ll handle the logistics — you just show up ready to teach. We’ll collaborate on promotion to help fill your roster. Run your workshop, and expect a check within about a week.

Revenue split note Your 60% is calculated on full-price registrations — always. Member discounts are absorbed by the studio, not you.
* For example, a 10-person workshop at $80 per student brings in $800 in registration — $480 of which goes straight to you.

Workshop format You decide the topic, structure, duration, and price. We handle registration, space setup, and promotion to our member community.

The space Professional wheels, slab roller, extruder, full hand tool suite, Cone 6 glazes, bisque and glaze kilns — all included.

Community A dedicated membership – serious about their practice and genuinely enthusiastic about learning from working artists.
